📢 European Finacial Instruments Guide📢

While traditional grant-based models remain prevalent, these innovative tools, including debt and equity options, are gaining traction in addressing market failures and reducing investment gaps.

The guide, developed under the Access2EIC project, aims to enhance understanding of these instruments among researchers, start-ups, SMEs, and financial intermediaries. By leveraging regional, national, and European resources, it seeks to empower local financing bodies across all EU countries to better support innovation projects.

Building on the success of previous InnovFin initiatives, the new InvestEU programme promises a fresh generation of financial instruments and advisory services. With a focus on supporting beneficiaries under Horizon Europe, particularly via the European Innovation Council, InvestEU aims to amplify opportunities for the research and innovation ecosystem.

Crucially, Horizon Europe National Contact Points (NCPs) emerge as key enablers in promoting synergy between grants and financial instruments. Their role is vital in maximizing the impact of EU funding opportunities, ultimately fostering sustainable growth and competitiveness in the EU economy.
