EIC Transition: tips for applicants

If you are part of a deep-tech SME or start-up and would like to apply for the EIC Transition, you can only do so based on an innovation from an eligible project. More precisely, your proposal must build on results (demonstrated proof of principle with minimum Technology Readiness Level 3 and max TRL 4) from an eligible project. But you do not need to be a participant, Principle Investigator or result owner of the previous projects; on the contrary, new participants are welcome and encouraged to apply! European Social Innovation Competition: 2023 edition now open for applications

The Commission launched today, March 30th, the 11th edition of the European Social Innovation Competition. The prize promotes social innovation’s potential to solve societal challenges and foster sustainable and inclusive growth in Europe. Launched in 2013 in memory of social innovation pioneer Diogo Vasconcelos, the European Social Innovation Competition features three awards worth €50,000 each for the best social innovation projects designed to improve the world. EIC Accelerator : January 2023 Cut-off results

A new set of 32 companies have been selected to receive European Innovation Council (EIC) funding, combining grants and equity, following the first 2023 EIC Accelerator cut-off in January. They were selected out of applicants that applied for the Accelerator Open call. This first cut-off in 2023 did not include the EIC Accelerator Challenges calls. 40%  (13 of the 32 companies) have a female CEO, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) or CSO (Chief Scientific Officer), which is the highest share to date. European Prize for Humanitarian Innovation: first edition kicks off

The Commission launched the first edition of the European Prize for Humanitarian Innovation (InnovAid) at the European Humanitarian Forum, on 21 March 2023. EIC Pathfinder Open call 2023 closed with high interest

The EIC Pathfinder Open provides funding for projects in any field of science or technology, based on high-risk science-towards-technology breakthrough interdisciplinary research. The European Innovation Council (EIC) received 788 project proposals from the research community by 7 March 2023 deadline (4758 participants in total), requesting €2.412 billion of grant support. Applicants are coming from 55 countries. The total indicative budget for this call is €179.5 million and it is expected that approximately 60 projects will be funded.
